Matching strap to a tool and a load

Provide the load dimensions, weight, edges and strapping equipment. Confirm the strap material, width, thickness, roll arrangement and joint method. Check tool compatibility and request relevant performance information for the supplied grade. Test a complete strapped sample, including edge protection and the joint, under representative handling conditions.

Explain how the goods respond to pressure. Rigid bundles, compressible cartons and uneven loads can behave differently once tension is applied. Provide photographs of corners and gaps, and specify whether protective corner pieces are included in the pack.

Identify the tool model and the intended joint type when asking about roll compatibility. Confirm the manufacturer’s approved consumables and settings. A roll that fits on a holder is not automatically suitable for the tool’s feeding or joining process.

Check the completed joint and the pack after normal handling and any expected settling. Record loose bands, damaged corners or joint movement. Keep the accepted strap specification with the tool and packing method so later substitutions can be assessed properly.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
