Confirming a PE shrink film specification

Describe each product, group arrangement, dimensions and heat sensitivity. Provide the sealing and shrink equipment information. Ask the supplier to confirm the film grade, width, thickness and supply format, then trial a sample. Do not copy temperature settings from unrelated applications; the product, film and equipment together determine a suitable process.

Provide the arrangement of the entire group, including any tray, insert or separator. Describe gaps between items and features that could puncture the film. A photograph of the prepared group helps explain the clearance needed for forming and sealing the pack.

Check the proposed roll against the equipment’s feeding, sealing and shrinking requirements. Identify the machine model and any constraints on roll or pack size. Ask the relevant suppliers to clarify compatibility before purchasing material for a new process.

Evaluate the completed trial pack after cooling and normal handling, following the equipment guidance. Inspect the contents, seal, coverage and movement within the group. Keep the accepted film specification and process record together for future orders.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
