Choosing film dimensions for pipes and cables

Measure the product or bundle and describe the surface finish, edges and handling equipment. Confirm film width, thickness, roll format and the required coverage. Trial removal on the actual surface when appearance matters. Check whether labels must remain visible and whether the wrapped pack needs separate straps, supports or corner protection.

Include the full packed shape in the enquiry: bundle diameter or width, exposed ends, coil opening and any protective insert. Photographs should show how the goods rest on supports. This gives context that a film width request alone cannot provide.

Describe the condition of the surface and any requirement for clean removal. A finished or printed surface may need a compatibility trial with the proposed contact layer. Check the goods after the intended storage period in a representative packing trial.

Confirm the roll format and how it will be applied around the actual goods. Review access for the operator or wrapping equipment, label visibility and handling points. Approve the finished pack with its supports and other restraints included.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
