A repeatable carton taping method
Close cartons squarely and apply the agreed tape pattern with suitable pressure. Keep the bonding surface free of loose dust and avoid creating wrinkles or unsupported tape ends. Check the dispenser or machine for consistent cutting and application. Inspect sample sealed cartons during the shift and record roll batches for traceability.
Inspect the carton before sealing and make sure the contents do not force the flaps apart. Remove loose dust from the bonding area using the approved packing procedure. Correct a distorted closure before applying additional tape over it.
Apply the tape smoothly along the specified route, maintaining contact where the tape crosses edges. Use the dispenser or machine as instructed. Avoid stretching the tape to pull a badly formed carton into shape, which can leave the closure under strain.
Check the first cartons after a roll change and at routine points during production. Look for lifting ends, missed contact or inconsistent cutting. Record the tape batch and any machine adjustment when investigating a change in sealing performance.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
