Choosing slit-roll width for your parts

Measure the parts and the area that needs restraint, then select a width that avoids obstructing openings, connectors or inspection surfaces. Confirm core dimensions and handle fit. Review both shade and opacity on the actual goods. Document the approved film and wrapping method so a later roll change does not alter the bundle unexpectedly.

Check the proposed band position on a real assembly. Leave plugs, threaded ends, vents and lifting grips accessible when they are needed later. Select the width based on the area that can accept restraint without interfering with use.

Compare shade and label visibility in the location where bundles are stored. Dark shelves, coloured bins or similar nearby parts can make a colour harder to distinguish. Retain a written identifier even when the shade seems obvious.

Confirm whether the roll is supplied alone or used with a particular hand dispenser. Inspect the core fit and the operator’s clearance around the bundle. Agree the completed bundle as well as the roll details when approving a sample.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
