A repeatable colour system for workshop bundles

Choose a small set of colours with a clear meaning, such as a job group or destination. Print or write a matching identifier and wrap each bundle using the same location and coverage rule. Train operators to check the identifier before dispatch. Keep the colour mapping with the packing instructions so new staff can follow it.

Create a short packing instruction showing the colour, bundle quantity and wrap position for each job. Include an image of the completed pack where useful. Staff should not have to infer the correct method from a loose roll.

Issue the correct colour to the work area and keep unused rolls separated. When a job changes, remove the previous labels and materials before starting the next bundle. This reduces the chance of carrying an old identifier forward.

Check a finished bundle against the work order before moving it to storage. If a colour has to be substituted temporarily, record the exception clearly and tell the receiving team. Never rely on an undocumented colour substitution.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
