A controlled first trial with POF shrink film
Start with the equipment manufacturer instructions and the supplied film guidance. Confirm film threading, product clearance and a consistent seal. Change one parameter at a time and inspect the seal and final appearance. Keep heat-sensitive items within their validated conditions. Record the approved film and process settings before a production run.
Prepare a small set of representative products, including the more difficult shape within the intended range. Keep the grouping and orientation consistent. Differences in pack arrangement can otherwise obscure whether a process adjustment has improved the result.
Inspect the seal before judging the shrinking result. A poorly formed or contaminated seal should be corrected at that stage. Keep hands clear of hot and moving parts and use the equipment’s approved stopping procedure for adjustments.
Once a promising pack is produced, check several consecutive samples and their contents after handling. Record the film reference, product arrangement and equipment settings. Keep an approved sample so future operators have a practical appearance and quality reference.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
